Work Process
Harrington & Associates recognizes the unique nature and culture of each of
its client organizations. When we are called in to work with a client, it is generally
because there is a need to formalize a system or because the systems currently in place
are not performing to expectation. We consider it our primary responsibility to structure
each project to the specific needs and priorities of the client. Therefore, Harrington &
Associates offers its clients flexibility in process design and pricing structure.
We typically work with our clients on a project basis, although we do provide
ongoing assistance for many of our long-term clients on an hourly fee basis.
Typical client engagements during a project involve:
Preliminary Discussion: New
clients typically come to us with a particular project in mind. We meet with the client
personally or by conference call to learn about their situation, identify key issues and
determine their desired outcomes.
Proposal: We submit a
detailed proposal with the process involved, expected deliverables, fee estimates and
project timing for the prospective client to consider. Our proposal includes information
about client references and consulting staff backgrounds. The signed proposal constitutes
the consulting contract.
Consulting Process:
Typically, projects begin with a meeting with key managers to review the intended
project objectives, scope and processes, as well as to obtain their input and concurrence.
Then we carry out each step of the process interactively, consistent with the provisions
of the accepted proposal.
Project Review: We check
with our clients as the project nears completion to ensure their satisfaction and to make
any needed fine-tuning adjustments.
