Judy
Harrington has been consulting in the field of compensation and
performance management since 1978.
She formed Harrington & Associates, Inc. in January, 1986
after relocating to Florida with her family from the Chicago area
where she was Vice President of Consulting Services for MAI- The
Management Association. During
her nine year affiliation with MAI, Judy consulted with hundreds of
small, medium and large firms, primarily engaged in manufacturing.
In
Florida, her clients have included Votran (East Volusia Public
Transportation), Emergency One, Orange County Library System, The
City of Maitland, Florida, Nokia Mobile Phones, EG&G Florida (as
Base Operations Contractor, Kennedy Space Center), Space Port USA,
U.S. Space Camp, Premier Cruises Limited, Phoenix International, Orange Co,
The Center For Drug Free Living, Greyhound Leisure Services, Faro
Technologies, Pinelock Management Corporation, LMG, Inc. and Ocean
Spray Cranberries, Inc.
In
addition, Judy has developed and taught public and private seminars
on compensation and performance management for individual clients as
well as for the Employers Association of Florida and Industrial
Management Institute. She
has served on numerous national committees working to update and
standardize job evaluation and compensation surveying practices.
She has served as a speaker and interview subject for various
organizations and publications including the Central Florida Human
Resources Association, North and South Brevard Human Resources
Associations, Institute of Industrial Engineers, Wisconsin VTAE
District Boards Association, Industrial Management Association of
New York, Manufacturers Association of the Delaware Valley,
Manufacturers Association of Central New York, Business Week
Magazine, WIND Radio, the Chicago Tribune, CBS News, Crain's Chicago
Business and the Chicago Sun Times.
Ms. Harrington was
formerly affiliated with Avery Dennison for nine years in various
corporate and divisional human resources staff and management
positions. She holds a
bachelors degree in Business Administration from UCLA, has been
designated as a Certified Compensation Professional by the American
Compensation Association and qualified repeatedly as an expert in
job evaluation and job analysis in mediation/arbitration.
